Entrepreneur Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who is the sister of actor Ranbir Kapoor, says her daughter Samara being active on Instagram often makes her watch out for her, as the teenage is vulnerable to vicious comments of trolls online. Riddhima said she has asked her daughter that if she wants to be on Instagram, she has to make her account private but the teenager refuses to do so as she wants to get more “followers”.
“At times it worries me, because she is (active) a lot on social media, she posts pictures and videos of hers almost every day,” Riddhima opened about her daughter in an interview with UK-based radio jockey Anushka Arora.
“I told her that if she wants to be on Instagram, she needs to go private. But that’s a challenge. I didn’t want her to be on social media because of all the trolling and she is your typical 13-year-old. She tends to read comments and obviously it plays in the back of your mind when people write not-so-nice things about her. I told her she needs to go private or get off social media. But she says if she goes private, she won’t get followers!”

As of now, Samara’s Instagram account is private. Riddhima said her daughter is a “people’s person” and called her a “naughty, but obedient” child. “I try very hard to discipline her, but my husband spoils her! I do everything in my stride to get some discipline. At least I try. It is a different generation though,” she added.
In the same interview, Riddhima had revealed how she had attended Taylor Swift’s concert with her in London and dubbed the mother-daughter duo as “certified Swifties”.
“Samara was enjoying, screaming, singing! I had to calm her down, that take it easy! It was Swift, so zindagi safal hogayi, aur kya chahiye,” she had said about the concert, where her actor mother Neetu Kapoor also joined them.
