On Sunday, the Internet was buzzing with congratulatory posts for Manu Bhaker for bagging a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol at the Paris Olympics 2024. Now, a video of Bhaker playing the national anthem on a violin has caught the attention of social media users.
In the video shot at the MP Shooting Academy in Bhopal, Bhaker can be seen playing the national anthem on a violin, sitting in a lawn near a swimming pool, dressed in a red T-shirt and black pants. The video was shot in May, Sportstar reported.
Sharing the video on X, Sportstar wrote, “Manu Bhaker will be on the podium at the Paris Olympics.”

The video garnered over 83,000 views, and many social media users hailed Bhaker for her exceptional talent. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “She is a multi talented.” Another user commented, “Sports is essential field to excel in anything.”
“We are proud of you,” a third user wrote.
Several celebrities praised Bhaker after she won the bronze medal, opening India’s account at the Paris Olympics 2024. Sharing a picture of Bhaker posing with her medal, actor Anushka Sharma wrote, “Shooting for the stars & creating history!!! Congratulations. You’ve made us all proud.”
“First win is home! Congratulations, you’ve made all of us sooo proud!” wrote actor Kareena Kapoor Khan on Instagram.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra, in an X post, lauded Bhaker. “The medal is Bronze…But that look is Pure GOLD. Steely-eyed determination that made her the first Indian Woman to win a shooting medal in the Olympics. Don’t ever try to get in her way,” he wrote.

Bhaker secured the bronze medal scoring 221.7 points. She was on the cusp of silver when Kim Yeji shot a 10.5 to jump ahead by 0.1 points. Koreans Yeji (241.3) and Oh Ye Jin (243.2, an Olympic record) won silver and gold medals, respectively.
