The Gujarat government on Tuesday signed a partnership agreement with US-based technology company Intel Corporation for Artificial Intelligence (AI) readiness, in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
Under this initiative, the Department of Science & Technology (DST) and Intel Corporation aim to make Gujarat a hub for innovation and investment in the digital economy, the state government said in a statement.
It aims to empower students, professionals, citizens and digital leaders by equipping them with the skills, mindsets and toolsets needed to thrive in an AI-driven world.
“With this partnership with the Intel Corporation, the vision in the direction of making Gujarat a hub of innovation and investment in the digital economy will get impetus,” read the statement.
The initiative will be implemented in collaboration with multiple partners and stakeholders including regional science centres, academic institutions and government bodies, the government said.
Mentioning the importance of the agreement, Mona Khandhar, principal secretary (Department of Science & Technology), said that it will promote skilled workforce and technological advancement.
Chief Secretary Raj Kumar and Pankaj Joshi, additional chief secretary to CM, were also present at the event.
