Even as Dulquer Salmaan is awaiting the release of his much-anticipated Lucky Baskhar, directed by Venky Atluri, the actor has signed his next in Telugu. Titled Aakasam Lo Oka Tara, the film will be directed by Pavan Sadineni, and backed by Swapna Cinema, Geetha Arts and Lightbox Media.
Aakasam Lo Oka Tara is the next directorial venture of Pavan, who is known for helming films like Senapathi (2021), Savitra (2016) and Prema Ishq Kadhal (2013). He has also directed various web series like PillA (2017), Ee Office Lo (2018), Commitmental (2020), and Dayaa (2023).
Here’s the first look:
From the first look of Aakasam Lo Oka Tara, which features Dulquer with a red towel over his shoulders, and a young girl standing in the middle of a field, we can decipher that the film has all the markings of a rooted drama. This is a marked change from the kind of films Dulquer has been associated with in Telugu cinema.

Aakasam Lo Oka Tara is expected to be released in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil, which seems to be the case with all Dulquer films considering his pan-Indian credentials.
Meanwhile, Dulquer, who was seen in an enterprising cameo in Kalki 2898 AD, recently celebrated his birthday, and since then there has been a series of updates about his upcoming films.
The makers of Lucky Baskhar, which will hit the screens on September 7, released the title song from the film, which has enamoured the audience.
