A couple from Punjab’s Ludhiana was injured after part of a roof of Hyatt Regency Hotel collapsed on them on Monday night.
Rohit Meena, DCP (Southwest), said they received a PCR call at 8.56 PM at the R K Puram Police Station regarding the collapse of the roof at the five-star hotel and the injury to couple staying there.
Amit Jain, 42, his wife Reva Jain, 32, residents of Civil Lines in Ludhiana, were rushed to the Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj. “Amit has received head injuries while his wife has received some minor injuries… No complaint has been received from their end,” said an officer.
A senior officer said reason behind the roof collapse near the lobby passageway is being ascertained. The scene was forensically examined and the statement of hotel staffers was taken, added the officer.
