Arjun Ashokan, Mathew Thomas and three others injured as car topples during shooting of Malayalam movie Bromance | Malayalam News

As many as five people, including actors Arjun Ashokan, Mathew Thomas and Sangeeth Pratap, sustained injuries when the car they were in during the shooting of a stunt scene for an upcoming film reportedly overturned on MG Road in Kochi, Kerala, early on Saturday morning. The accident occurred during the filming of director Arun D Jose’s Bromance. During the shooting of a chase scene, The Hindu reported, the car, driven by the movie’s stunt choreographer and carrying Arjun, Mathew and Sangeeth, lost control, brushed another car and toppled.

Meanwhile, a food delivery agent, who was standing nearby, was also injured as the second car hit him, the publication further reported. Fortunately, none of the five, including the delivery agent, sustained serious injuries. They were all taken to a private hospital in the city and were discharged after being provided first aid.

Bankrolled by Ashiq Usman under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions, Bromance’s screenplay has been penned jointly by director Arun D. Jose, Raveesh Nath and Thomas P Sebastian. Besides Arjun, Mathew, and Sangeeth, the film also stars Mahima Nambiar, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Shyam Mohan and Binu Pappu in key roles.

While Bromance’s music is crafted by composer Govind Vasantha, its cinematography and editing are handled by Akhil George and Chaman Chakko, respectively. Nimesh Thanur is also part of the project as the art director. Bromance is Arun D Jose’s third directorial venture, following the success of Jo and Jo (2022) and Journey of Love 18+ (2023).
