The footage was obtained from a fuel pump located in Fatehabad’s Bisla village, where the car had stopped for refueling.
Another CCTV footage has surfaced on social media in which the assailants can be seen running away in a Bolero and an Alto car after killing the singer on Sunday. This footage is being said to be procured from Bappiana village in Mansa district.
After killing the singer, the attackers fled in an Alto car. The car was found unclaimed in Moga. Meanwhile, Punjab Police has detained two persons from Fatehabad district, sources said, adding that they would be questioned in connection with the case.
A senior official of the Special Investigation Team set up to probe the murder said on Friday that they have found important clues and are working on it.
Earlier, Punjab Police had arrested Manpreet Singh for allegedly providing logistic support to the attackers. The police had also brought two miscreants from Bathinda and Ferozepur Jail on production warrant for interrogation in the Moosewala murder case.
Musewala was shot dead by unidentified assailants on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district. his cousin and a friend, who were traveling in Jeep He was also injured in the attack along with him.
A CCTV footage, which later surfaced on social media, showed a Corolla car following Musewala’s vehicle in Jawahar’s village. Then a Bolero stopped in front of Musewala’s car and the Corolla, including the people in it, opened indiscriminate fire at the singer. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was among 424 people whose security was withdrawn or reduced on a temporary basis by the Punjab Police.
The state police termed the incident as a case of inter-gang rivalry and said that Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the murder.
Bishnoi gang member Goldie Brar of Canada has claimed responsibility for the murder.
