Addressing a press conference, party leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said the action of Delhi Police was “criminal trespass” which will not be tolerated and will be accounted for.
he demanded that FIR Action should be taken against those involved by registering it.
“Complete hooliganism by the Delhi Police on the stand of the government, they entered the Congress office and beat up the workers. This is criminal trespass. Their hooliganism has reached its peak. It will not be tolerated and will be accounted for. ” Surjewala said.
“We demand that FIRs be registered, they be suspended and disciplinary inquiry initiated. Today all Congress leaders will hold press conference. Tomorrow Congress will gherao all Raj Bhavans across India. After tomorrow all district level protests will be held. There will also be demonstrations.” He added.
Congress workers protested across the country for the third consecutive day over the questioning of Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald case. The interrogation continued on Wednesday as well.
Speaking at a press conference earlier in the day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said the BJP-led government was trying to suppress the voice of the Wayanad MP and would have to pay a “heavy price”.
