Delhi News Live Updates: Days after the shooting at GTB Hospital in a case of mistaken identity that claimed a 32-year-old man’s life, police have apprehended the alleged teenage shooter and arrested two others in the case. The accused belonged to the Hashim Baba gang, looking to target a man from the rival Chenu Pehelwan gang, police had confirmed earlier. The arrests have thrown up fresh details in the case and it appears that it was not one, but two assailants who entered the ward — the juvenile and another man, the police said.

Meanwhile, construction work on Delhi Metro’s two new corridors under Phase IV — Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block, and Indraprastha to Inderlok — is likely to begin by the end of this year, officials have said. Approval for the two corridors was received from the Centre recently. The two corridors, covering a length of 20.70 km, will provide connectivity to several parts of South and Central Delhi. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), meanwhile, has sped up preliminary work on the two corridors.

How is the weather today? The national capital is expected to observe cloudy skies as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘watch’ warning for the region. The city has received intermittent light showers this week with the weather office having predicted a ‘yellow alert’ until today.
