In the latest Emmy awards nominations, the “The Bear” has set a record for a comedy-series with 23 nominations, while in another category, “Shogun” proved to be the mettle with 25 under its name.
“The Bear” is listed for nominations for its second season which deals with the rag-tag group of sandwich makers who try to build an elite restaurant.
Some of the significant nominations include Best Comedy Series, Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Jeremy Allen, Best Actress for Ayo Edebiri.
A plenty of guest acting nominations boosted chances of “The Bear”, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Olivia Colman.

“Shogun” dominated in the drama category and gave the FX an overall 93 nominations. FX is giving a tough competition to HBO, which even in an “off” year has received 91 nominations.
“Shogun” received nominations for Best Drama Series, Best Actress in a Drama Series for Anna Sawai and Best Actor for Hiroyuki Sanada.
For HBO’s saviour, “True Detective: Night Country” showed a bright spot and received 19 nominations in Emmy.
HBO’s “Succession” lost in the race to retirement and is hovering between different seasons on “The White Lotus” and “The Last of Us.”
“True Detective: Night Country”, which is believed to be a partial spin off of the “True Detective” franchise, included Best Actress nominations for Jodie Foster, Kali Reis for Best Supporting Actress.
